"Who am I, what am I, why am I?"

Lost

What once was has been lost to the world, leaving only Nanashi, the
mortal frame around which the powers of Malice Asorial Arlyeon was
built upon. All of the past was lost to her, leaving only present and
future to carve a new story in the life of this kitsune and the lives
of those that had once called her friend and maybe even lover. All
that is but a faded dream now, forgotten to the one that had it...

The powers that once surrounded the being called Malice fled when
Malicean was decimated such as her powers relating to the sin eater,
and those of a more angelic nature locked away. No memory remains of
such things save for what exists in record and even that is slowly
being systematically wiped away by Nanashi. Burdens and sufferings are
but forgotten relics of the old self as she now walks the world free of
her inner demons and self hates. Time shall only tell if these things
shall come back to haunt Nanashi...

Path

All there is left now is to wander to each of the places that she
had once trained ever so vigorously in, repeating the process she had
already made once. Rejecting her past in each place, Nanashi has been
destroying record of that dream she once was. As of late, she has
taken on the mysterious Leopold Evenalion as her teach with the goal to
gain the powers his knowledge can unlock for her, to tap into each
potential in a way to find where her true strengths lie. What will
come of these lessons though? No one can be sure...

Weapons:

Ten'yo- An energised long sword, those energies weaved about it
causing it to never lose its edge, and granting it a surnatural
durability. The keen itself is not to a supernatural level, and the
damage often wreaked by the sword is moreover linked to the kitsune
wielding it.

Fey-A longsword with five runes etched into one side. Those being:

~Shu'ah - wielder is impervious to fire

~Du'ah - weapon is indestructable

~La'h - wielder has the ability to traverse across the planes

~Fei'ah - wielder has the ability to see someone's true form and

alignment

~Vi'ah - weapon deals water type damage

Tenrai Jigoku-The Sword Of Hades (One of the myriad swords of eternity). This particular weapon takes the form of a Katana, a full 5'1 in height. The blade itself is the colour of dusk's sky, whilst the rudimentary hilt -appears- to be a simple construct of ebon wood. Powers:

The weapon, interestingly enough, simply holds the ability to dispell most magicks of a 'good' origin, and also causes some harm to those of a likewise nature if its unsheathed. (A sort of Innate Circle of Protection from good). Malignant nature of the sword thus taken into account, Any character of a good alignment takes much more grievous injuries from the blade (A la Smite good). It also has one last effect, one of a peculiar nature- it twists at its nature, something which stirs at the seals upon the entity with Madness'es host.

Powers and Abilities

Kitsune powers

~Resistances to all poisons and sickness (Disease and the like, both
mundane and magical)

~Soul Detection (can sense souls)

~Focus (This technique allows the vixen to be much more attuned with her surroundings, resulting in the ability to predict attacks to some degree as well as being able to detect things even if her senses have been skewed.

~Regeneration (In the exact same manner that her unique physiology allows her a severe resistance to illnesses and plague, it also reconstitutes the damage done to her being at a highly accelerated rate. The only downside to this is a somewhat increased metabolism.

~Fire Breath (The kitsune is quite capable of breathing forth funnels of flame which vary in degree of temperature considerably.

Barbarian abilities

~Stamina lvl 50 *max*

~Herb Lore lvl 50 *max*

~Rage lvl 100 *max*

~Berzerk (*coughs*berserk) lvl 100 *max*

~Battle Cry lvl 100 *max*

~Frenzy lvl 100 *max*

~Grand Cleave lvl (Custom) *Is compromised of focusing ones being,
and in malice's case her aura as well, into a single strike. The
entirety of the damage is focused upon one point, making it exceedingly
effective in breaking equipment (as well as limbs if someone were
unforunate enough). Due to the intense focus and high strain that it
causees on the user as well as the weapon, it can't be used
consistantly as of yet, only usable 6 times (STR/4) per day at maximum
and that would exhaust Nanashi quite a bit.

Physical abilities

~Sword Weapon mastery lvl 100*max*

~Wind Cutter (Sword)

Nanashi is able to use any sword she picks up and make a strike of
such a precise and rapid nature that a wind of a cutting force
equivalent (and often greater) to that of the blades edge travels forth
(Though it may also be in part due to her Ki. This wave of force will
carry onwards until all its inertia is expended granting her
considerable talent in emptying out areas. The number of times she can
use it a day is currently 10 (DIS/2).* {Initial Type}

~Bursting Blow (Sword)

Nanashi, thanks to her ki, is able to generate enough energy that
when she strikes at an opponent, a shockwave of brute force emanates
from wherever it hits, causing a rather large amount of knockback and a
painful amount of concussive force. The odd thing about this technique
is its not often lethal, as the energys that briefly form about the
blade stop the edge from slicing through its opponent strictly reliant
upon the blunt damage. The shockwave of the blow is equal to a 5 meter
radius (Dis/4)and she's able to us it 7 (Dis/3) times a day.* (Mage
Type)

~Weave of Darkness (Sword)

This technique is reliant upon having two blades, both of which are
drawn forth for the technique then simply slashed forth in a manner
akin to the wind cutter, save that instead of a line of cutting force,
its a funnel of wind which rushes forth, serving to both push back and
entrap any in its path. Beings or objects trapped within the wind are
subject to innumerable cuts of a mild degree, quite useful in wearing
down opponents or aggravating existing wounds. The funnel rushes is 4
meters wide and comes out in a column directly in front of where the
swords where slashed, and travels outwards at a pace of 21 (Dis) meters
per round, up to 4 (Dis/5) rounds. Its able to be used up to 5(Dis/4)
times a day*(Necromancer Type)

~Divine Rupture (Sword)

Running either one, or a pair of blades along the ground, an after
shock is made, streaking forth up until its energy is expended or it
strikes something solid enough that it isn't pulverised by the sheer
kinetic force the ability holds. Upon Contact with something that would
resist its impact, the aftershock simply detonates in a condensed area
of effect, the force more crushing than anything. Its able to be used
up to 4(Dis/5) times a day*(Cleric Type)

Fey's Powers

~Water Damage - Runic enchantment

Tenrai's Perdition

1-Hinote Kuchidzuke (Flames Kiss){I Type}A moment is spared to engulf Tenrai with a particularily strong bout of flame, one which would weaken even Ten'yo, one which clings upon the blade of eternity until a strike is made, the effect differing depending on whether it's a slash or an attempt at impalation. When the maneuver in particular is a slash, the effect produced is quite akin to the windcutter, save that the blade of condensed air which would normally form is spawned a moment -after- the slash, effective for crashing into vulnerabilities that may have been formed by either a successful strike, or simply by parrying that initial blow. Whats more, the flaming energy is transferred into that scything blade of air, hence superheating the wound and both aiding in severing whatever is hit as well as cauterising the specific area. In the instance of a thrust, upon contact the blade's ki is dispensed to help drive the blade forward whilst the heat dispersed could effectively boil someone's interns. She's capable of doing this 2(Dis/8) times a day, With the slice technique being able to produce up to 3(Dis/7) slashes per usage and the Thrust -always- being a full expenditure of all the energy.

2-Kyuukyoku Nenshou Arashi (Final Burning Tempest){C Type}A wisps kiss of a pyres hearth born companion, that sparked aspect to which desire is oft compared- Flames which burn high seeking to consume like passions. This is placed upon Tenrai like a benediction, breathed onto sanguine tainted steel before that dark blade is risen high then plunged swiftly into the ground below. Banished as such to a shallow grave in the terrain before its wielder, half buried corpse is then placed with ki, life energies animating it and bringing about its ire in full force, that wrath oft stored for the angry dead revived, mindless & wanton in its destructive weave. About the kitsune is a wreath of flame formed, fueled by her energies and honed specifically against those entities which already passed on, providing both barrier to Nanashi and means of breaching those damned and desecrated forms, incineration their liberation. Fortuitously enough for those to go against her, its usage is limited to but 2(Dis/9) times a day, and its rage but a meager 6(Dis+Wis/7) feet in all directions (her being the center, or rather Tenrai).

3-Joushou Hebi Dageki (Ascending Serpent Strike){M Type}Tenrai laced with the Vixen's ki, the time required to initiate this action is little, sword point brought to graze along the ground before being swung up at her specific target. Viperal in swiftness, time to react is minimal and the force within allows it to be unimpeded by most obstacles. The strike is then brought about in full circle, by which point the kitsune simply falls low the bounds upwards, Tenrai brought up like a snake which seeks to sup upon that wayward pigeon which flew to close to the ground- force enough within the cut through like a scythe carving a wicked way through wheat. The move if thus left uninhibited both strikes the opponent twice -and- sends them sprawling up into the air, with the kitsune swiftly following after. Fortuitously enough for most, this particular maneouver is limited to but 2(Dis/10) times a day.

4-Naraku Uejini Yajuu (Hells Starving Beast){N Type}Imbuing Tenrai with her Ki then plunging it within the earth before her, she's able to use her spiritual energy to rapidly draw in those within her proximity, something which is useful in both its manner to sow dissarray and open up vulnerabilities to exploit. It also helps that directly following the initialisation, Tenrai is extra keen due to the energy channeled within it for all of 1 attack. Due to the large amount of ki necessitated by this particular technique, The vixen can only perform it but 1(dis/11) times a day. The range is quite effective efficient however being 10.5(Wis+Dis/4)Feet in all directions out from Tenrai.

5-Fuuin Tenma (Sealed Demon) {B Type}A battle tactic more defensive then most, this one cannot follow or be followed by any other technique during its execution (That round), and in the means by which its a mostly defensive action, it makes quite a bit of sense. Falling into a neutral stance, with Tenrai gripped tightly in one hand and the other simply resting behind the blade near one end the sole thing that is done is an infusion of ki then awaiting the first blow. However, once a blow has been unleashed (it has to be a melee attack to be effective) and blocked by this particular stance, the reason will became immediately noticeable. A sudden inversion of momentum plus that of the vixen's own force results in a rather hefty distance produced, 25 (Str) feet to be precise, sending that foe sprawling back (or upwards if used to counter an airborne attack). The tactic is useful for providing distance, disarming and setting up an opponent for a vulnerability, but it is also not strictly defensive, for upon the inversion of momentum, an excessively powerful strike outward is made, more than capable of clearing out all those entities which are in the immediate proximity of Nanashi (or simply grant a foe being sent flying backwards a parting gift). After its been executed, another attack can be made to follow it. 4(Dis/5) times can this be used per day.

Particular Details

Nanashi's Energies are of a Silver Hue, just so one knows.

Currently has three tails

A pair of red markings akin to wings have formed upon her back~ Sigils of Madness'es reawakening

Her fur and hair has all been shifted to a black hue quite semblant to that of midnight.

Her skin has paled considerably, now quite akin to the white of snow.

Tenrai's Awakening

Nanashi |Transplanted before that colossus of bark, fungus and foliage, the swordswoman who held the guise of a fox had little idea of what else there was to do, those eyes of a blue which could only be demmed gemlike doing their utmost to discern where her prize was located, and founding that treasure...imperceptible...unperceived...lacking- hold. A crevice within the wood, was it there before within that craggy exterior of wood, that profound depth of blackness which seemed to dive down towards the core of the tree? Caution and wariness ran through her form, giving life to a sense of electric tension, shadows dancing all about in the slowly setting sun as her wayward feet brought her closer to that abyssal opening within the arboreal guardian before her. "The moment of truth." Utterance in a manner most placid manner was accompanied by a swift movement of her hand, diving deep into that gaping wound within the tree, seeming to touch upon nothing but a void, up until fingers brushed against something. Metal...no, now it was a cloth perhaps, wrapped tightly about what seemed to be a hilt. It almost seemed familiar, even in its unknown qualities, the blade seemed to hold traits of something she had known all along- and that sensation only grew as she grasped tightly upon it. Narrowing her eyes, the kitsune then pulled, dislodging the blade from what did or did not hold upon it with very little effort, something which resulted in a backwards stumble as the seemingly long blade was liberated from its place of holding and brought out into the blood red hues of dusks light.

Nanashi | Pallid fingers unfurled for a moment before clasping tightly upon the hilt of the item. It was a blade, hilt but a humble slab of wood ebon in colour to which the blade was attached, a slender thing of some unfathomably keen metal, one which shimmered those very same colours as the setting sun. It was only upon her lifting the blade up however that she became fully cognisant of its full length, An katana in its fullest, a blade that was her height. It would have proven a touch unwieldy in most instances were it not for the fact that she was both abnormally strong, and it seemed to be abnormally light. "...There's something missing." Perhaps not at first glance, no, however it was true, there was a lack of that kinship that the other blade had held with Leopold. "Soul binding, he said, thus how?"

Jian laughed a laugh of utter insanity that could be akinned to a jester ammused by his own antics as he sat upon a tree near where Nanashi was. He seemed to just sit there as legs dangled playfully below him-kicking in rythym to his maddened cackling. "so what they told me is true I see...I do sense quite the overwhelming energy coming from that weapon." the former Hand of Death sneered as he rose to be perch precariously upon the thin branch he had previously sat upon. "It was requested me by some lord of darkness or another that I utilize my great amassed strength and inhuman talent to get that weapon from you and bring it to them in exchange for wealth." Jian stepped off of the branch and feet hit the ground without even the slightest of stumbles. "Lucky for you, I've...no need for worldy possessions as long as I've my scythe." The strange man seemed to now stumble drunkedly forward towards Nanashi. He held no such scythe in his hands or anywhere else upon his person in fact as he moved forth. "Unlucky for you...I want it for myself."

Nanashi | It was a moment of clarity- or perhaps one borne of an illucidity caused by the sword, but it seemed peculiar, to bound one souls within an object was rash, dangerous...and would likely result in the person being drawn to the blade, not the reverse. Might it be whispers from a host angelic, archaic knowledgebility and a wisdom of wily means seeping into the vixens intellect, but her next actions came in an almost automatic flow of motion, blade turned upon herself with a suddenness and driven into her own stomach with a violence. No blood, not a drop, no weakness from the wound- just a numbness, an almost befuddled lack of anything as she stared down upon the blade, granting little indication of success besides an almost malignant seeming shift of its surface, like some attempt at a wink. Then it was drawn out and the stagger came, forward, then backwards, upon which Jian and the wholeness of his speech was drawn into her sense of awareness. "...You talk too much." Arriving at a standstill, she then simply affixed a glare upon his approaching visage, both hands coming to grasp upon that simplistic hilt, the weapon of an epic history she knew only vague fragments of displaying not a droplet of her sanguine fluids, her robes of a midnights blackest shade holding not one rupture.

Jian smiled quite broadly at the kitsune and her newly bound weapon. "Under many a circumstance, I would dare not assualt but it seems that you possess the same amount of raw potential that I myself do. Your soul will make a delightful part of me." Jian paused as he approached, a finger driving thoughtfully before dropping into a low bow-a dagger sliding from his sleeve to his right hand as he did. "Allow me to introduce myself as Jian, exile hand of death." At that moment, he rose again to his full height and rather suddenly impaled each wrist with his dagger before tucking the thing away in his robes as if there were not holes in his arms. The blood poured down as the arms fell limp but not a drop did hit the earth. Instead it gather, coagulated, moved of its own accord in his palms as it seemed to elongate and stretch outward to form a long pole of solidifying blood. "I hope you've lived a full life."

Nanashi |Eyes stared forth with apathy, a cool confidence displayed in her lackluster amount of enthusiasm, though in a sense, she was looking forward to this. A rival? An opponent. A final testament to her abilities, and her worthiness as the guardian of the weapon. Still, She herself was not above traditions of combat, and given he had both introduced himself and displayed some manner of respect, however mockingly or not- she reciprocated. Tipping forth with a practiced ease, the fox spirit dipped in a humble manner, before reverting to a more relaxed pose, the blade, which renamed nameless to her as of yet, risen up rather adroitly. "My name, Is Nanashi, I am the guardian of this blade, as you know.".

Jian blinked for a moment and as his eyes opened, they were now a scarlet color lacking pupils and thus hiding his direction of gaze completely. The blood stopped pouring forth suddenly and his wrists closed up now that their task was complete. In his hands, congealed blood shifted and morphed itself into a scythe. "You know...it takes a lot to be exiled from the services of one who can kill with but a touch." Jian snickered as he moved forward, the scythe being twirled in his left hand almost as a taunt of some sort..

Nanashi | No twitch, no movement displayed as a provocation or precursor to her offense, just a sudden swift blur of black and crimson, the weapon and its wielder in front of Jian the moment his taunt met completion, the action responded to with an excessively violent offense to this apparent entity of violent endings. A downwards arc of the weapon was put forth, all efforts made to split him in twain, as well as his particular arnament. "No games."

Jian moved the scythe as if it was just another part of his body and with such swiftness it could be left to wonder why he did not simply strike her down at the neck with one quick slash. It found itself moving to hook the sword under the cresent blade and bury both her sword and his scythe head against the ground. This was not much of a real hassle for him to over come his weapon now being used to hold hers though as Jian simply used the pole as leverage to bring his legs high in the air and dropping powerfully towards Nanashi's chest, the scythe dragging on the ground behind him as he did in an effort to keep her sword pinned and perhaps even disarm Nanashi of such an item

Nanashi| Reacting in a timely manner, she thus went in the manner momentum carried her. Down. Thus was the unforunate consequence of a lost blade averted, though her particular positioning, crouched with but that hand of her right still holding upon the hilt of her blade, did leave her quite vulnerable to his ensuing attack, something which she corrects with a minute tip of her body to the right, displacing the strike from what would have been her chin and neck more towards her shoulder, jarring that limb with a fair amount of force to be sure, though the angle ensured it to be in no means as devastating as it could of been. And then the retort. Hand clapping down upon the grassy grounds, digits of that left limb dug into the turf with a ferocity that came of being in danger, negating that aspect of pain to be used with its habitual deftness, pushing her back and enabling the straight weapon to be slid out from its point of capture. Staring long at the line which had been cleaved in the ground before her, then came the visualisation, a similar streak within her foe- Gone. Suddenly flickering from view with the liberated weapon, using that fullness of Celerity she possessed, now armed with one of the swords of eternity-which was not soulbound to another, Deadly weapon in deadly hands. Were Jian unable to follow her rapid movements, he'd find the unpleasent surprise of what she could do when not immensely encumbered, a materialisation into the visual spectrum for most leaving her in a pleasent position at his flank, blade suddenly arced out in a wide slide for his rib cage, to spill guts across the ground- weapon wielded with the same fierce speed which she possessed in manners more flighty.

Jian smiled upon noting that, though his original aim had been botched a bit by Nanashi's movement seconds before his feet would have landed upon her. What could only be described as a furious growl was given forth in low and rumbling tone to describe just how the exiled reaper felt about the situation at hand. Motion of the purest agility was made in reaction to the blade moving towards his beloved ribs, pole being thrusting upwards a small amount only to catch the blade as it was shifted to be horizontal in angle. The wood would seem to squirm and shift under the sword's weight but in never did seem to near breaking. With the same amount of agility as before, Jian would slide his body forward as he fell backwards towards being laid out upon his back. Feet flailed upwards as they were flung to bury into Nanashi's body. He would roll, taking full advantage of his new found leverage with the full intentions to see Nanashi be thrown over and behind him .

Nanashi | The vixen displayed some minute degree of mirth, lips curling up in a faint smirk at that particular counter to her own attack and the position he had hence taken up following. Still, her amusement was short-lived, its end found with the approach of his thrashing feet- to which she had her own reply. Simple and effective, she simply bound forth towards her spastic foe, evading his wanton efforts to harm him by that rather simplistic means- but moreover to press her weight further upon her weapon and thus his scythe. Once fully displaced into the air, the kitsune quite simply tensed her arm in the form of a push, pressing off the clashing weapons and hence rather adeptly launching oneself back to land a few mere paces back in a crouch, his roll hence not serving to disadvantage her, though he was thus granted the means to rise anew to his proper bearings.

Jian did indeed rise up from the ground, taking the time to dust himself off as he did. "Well it seems that Tavi's guy was right to place his faith in you as a guardian or whatever he put you in possession of the sword to be." Jian allowed his scythe to be propped over his shoulder in a manner most off hand-as if he was bored by this battle at hand. "The point remains that your living keeps me out of reach of...well...holding that weapon." Jian then raised his other hand to motion Nanashi come forth and attack .

Nanashi | Eyes glittered brightly as the foxkin overlooked her peculiar bit of opposition, seeming to weigh the threat he held and his mannerisms in a studious manner. Still, she had been granted an opening of sorts, and though some form of counterattack or trap was going to be invariably made, the chance to regain her own footing was highly appreciated. Thus, up she went, footfalls bringing her to a standstill before an abrupt change of direction dragged her into a backwards sauntering step, discordant pacing becoming a sudden furious staccato of thuds. And then she bound anew, a grace reminiscent of her canine spirit kin when chased by hounds, bringing her to land for but the sparsest of seconds upon that tree which she had taken the blade from- before she then presses off it and lunges forth at Jian. She doesn't attack immediately however, the katana instead simply held before oneself in a decidedly neutral manner, one paw upon the hilt and the other simply resting against the back of the blade as she waited whatever climatic bit of chaos was to come. Mostly anyways, for if nothing was launched at her, she wouldn't be against a sudden outward slash in an attempt to remove Jians head from his shoulders.

Jian smirked a bit as Nanashi's attack seemed to almost cater to his currently chosen stance. The scythe would be shifted in his location on his neck only so that he could have it in the desired position to defend lazily against Nanashi's weapon. With strength most inhuman though, he would push the scythe outward without letting a second pass with the full intentions to send Nanashi flying away flinging away from his person or at least knocking her off balance long enough for him to send the cresented blade of his weapon arching towards Nanashi's left shoulder.

Nanashi | Resistance was likely expected upon Jian's swift rebuttal as dictated by the swift edge of his scythe keening through the air that had once been occupied by her position. She had simply followed the momentum however, tossed back viciously by that curt defense and sent hurtling back towards the tree, though she would never reach . Instead, That infernal blade of eternity which had been bound into the form of a katana was quite abruptly plunged into the ground beneath her, serving as both anchor and a means of redirecting her current direction- an almost complete spin about that edged improvised center allowing her a rapid means of landing and resuming her offensive, the weapon dislodged in a rain of dirt, the action nearly an afterthought. "Stop holding back." Catastrophic clash of blades was sought, or seemingly so, for the Katana was brought in what could only be deemed as a sloppy outwards slice, towards Jian's midriff, through truth be know, t'was but a feint, Malignant weapon to be swiftly withdrawn then thrust forth towards the central point of his chest, so that even were it redirected, it might still draw blood.

Jian smirked as Nanashi's fury at him peeked, his arrogance doing exactly what he had put it up to do. She was charging forward at him and he had no where to run nor did he have any desire to run. In a matter of seconds, Jian's eyes had melted from his skull, hair thinned as if Jian was balding several years in a mere second as skin became dry, parched, even blackened. In stops it fell away, revealing bone and dying muscle. The sword would be allowed to enter his body as flesh exploded in a cloud of ancient powder only so that it could be buried between dried ribs and nothing else for his organs were but dust pooled upon the earth below. A skeletal hand reached forward to touch...slip within Nanashi, grasping at her very soul...

Nanashi stared in a rather surprised manner towards what her actions had seemingly caused, a macabre fascination glistening across sapphire depths for a moment, before the generally more prevalent facade of a calm takes place. Was he undead? He seemed to have been mortal but moments before, of a beating heart... Irrelevant. Made Irrelevant. That cadeverous claw of ivory white bone slipped through robe and flesh with no pain to the flesh, though the kitsune started to recoil at the cold produced by that deathly touch. A chill rent through her form, glacial like lifes end, as Jian sought to get a firm grasp upon her vital essence- something which seemed to have an inexplicable reaction upon her physical being, perhaps in part spurred by her tenuos hold upon that oddity of a sword she had thrust into him. Skin paled, complexion lacking the healthy glow that sanguine fluids normally granted- instead taking on a hue more reminscent of snow, a change that was also accompanied by all hair and fur upon her growing black as the evenings predators... And oh, that terrible growling sound which did emerge from her throat, pain borne of a tail splitting in twain, a third now manifesting itself as the seal upon that being within her was corrupted- A howl of agony carrying with it a fury of the Incendiary sort, breath of flame carrying forth scorch that skeletal figure before her, a short lived wisp which was precursor to her more tenacious of violations upon his form to come. Hand upon the katana's hilt tensing anew, she would then abruptly move to slam the edge of the blade towards his 'spine' since that particular area was already quite close, a rather large amount of ki channeled into the blow so that upon contact it would burst with a large amount of concussive force, hopefully detonating her bony aggressor into myraid fragments. Regardless of the outcome, the attack would provide a secondary purpose, continuance of the swing bringing her stumbling out of Jian's range for the moment.

Jian found himself ablaze though since flesh was long since gone and bone was held by mystic forces rather than organic in any means. His skeleton was left bald and smoldering and with it, he tore his skeletal hand back with the hopes to rend Nanashi's soul out but that was before he found his being bursting apart though still he ripped, now hoping to at least cause Nanashi a great amount of internal damage before his body seperated quite thoroughly. Bones slid across the ground, motionless as if the exiled hand of death had actually had his life ended as the black robes he wore fluttered to the ground like the flag of some conquered army. "How annoying." Jian's voice spoke, detached from any physical item in a manner that made it seem to flow around Nanashi like his essence was in the wind that blew. Bones quaked, vibrated, shifted upon the ground as the moved to each other as if drawn by magnets. Each fragment found its place eagerly and without flaw. Son, Jian stood in fleshless form and scythe in hand as if he were Death himself. "Do I frighten you? Does the fact that I seem unstoppable make you uneasy?" He snatched something suddenly from out of the air, his bones shimmering suddenly as putrid browned flesh reformed upon the bones. A vile grin formed, half gone due to the lack of tissue to truly form such an expression. "This is why I was exiled you know...my brutality threatened Death's grip on his minions. Had I bide my time a bit longer, I would have become Death." Another invisible item was grasped from out of the air, this one forming as a ball of energy that combated Jian's bony clutches for freedom. He bit into it sudden and there echoed a scream, cut off soon as Jian consumed the rest of the energy and more rotten meat formed upon his being. "You impress me to say the least..." jian twisted his vile, half formed grin even more as eyeless sockets narrowed as best they could with so little skin around the black holes. Raw fury seemed to seeth from him as he reached out for one final handful of lost soul, his bursting into flames in his clutch as it faded into his body quite unwillingly. No more words...only screams of deadly intent as he charged forward, the but of his scythe aimed to slam into Nanashi's solar plex. As he came near though, Jian spun it suddenly to send the cresent blade arching up towards her groin. "Die die die...DIE!".

Nanashi |Ending her wild spin but a few paces away, the kitsune had barely the presence of mind required to prop herself up upon her sword though barely did prove itself to be enough for the moment. That banished hand of death had hurt her, rather grievously, tearings and tugging upon her spirits hallowed form having done its fair part in disorienting and exhausting that now corrupted foxkin. Still, her semi recovery had provided a vantage point to Jian's sinister means of recovery and she was still cognisant enough to provide him a threadbare glower upon his particular means of taunting. His speech was then disregarded, some subconscious part of her being making note of his particular ramblings even as the majority of her focus was set upon the recovery of her focus, of her composure. Slowly did she draw herself up, ever attentive of her particular foe's actions, the aloofness he carried out his course- "I was made a guardian with reason." Her head inclined slightly towards that blade which served to keep her aloft, before finally a step of her own accord was made, signal that she was ready anew (and rather good timing all considering jian's suddenly berserk state, that ravenous fervor by which he breached the distance between herself and he. Tenrai, sword newly dubbed within her mind, was forsaken for the moment, left firmly between herself and Jian as her hands drifted down instead to the pair of swords at her side. She was not to be caught unaware however, for she reacted to both feint and final strike, a slight shifting of her body to the left her reaction at first, before she quite abruptly dashes to the dives forth upon acknowledgement of the true attacks intent. Rising to her feet, at first glance she would have appeared unscathed by that rather vicious attack, however a number of sanguine rivulets would soon form about her ankle product of a rather long rut carved within her leg, handicap towards her endeavour towards defending herself, though hopefully the scythe itself remained hooked about tenrai due to her maneuvering. Regardless, now was her time to act, and hence having placed herself with a close proximity, both Ten'yo and Fey were liberated from their sheathes with a nigh imperceptible squeel of metal upon their holds, those blades of a less then mundane nature level with her shoulders for the barest of moments, before swiftly being brought down towards that skeletal effigys arms, intent to be to remove limbs from their holdings.

Jian found his body resisting the powers of remaining in his undead state, flesh restoring itself and though his body was becoming human again, Jian still remained in a much unstoppable form. The arm was cleaved and it would have been painfully obvious that Jian allowed this to happen with out much in the way of resisting the blade's passage-it was not like it hurt him anyhow in his current state. A roar most victorious in nature was given forth as Jian spun around Nanashi's body when he was parted of his left arm. Undead digits were thrusted forward suddenly and with such speed that one would have had an easier time counting the wing beats of a humming bird than track the thrust towards Nanashi's back with the intent of reaching inside of her and snatching her soul up in ancient bone fingers. His scythe, out of his possession at this time, liquified itself only to burst into blobs of blood that massed soon later in the lifeless hand of his dismembered arm. Fingers clutched it as the blood become pole and blade, then spinning upon the ground with full intent of removing Malice's ankles before the pole once again burst and dispersed upwards and the detached limb flung itself forth to rejoin its former master, who was laughing hysterically at the whole affair.

Nanashi | Disarray, a cumulation of anarchy in the form of a sudden flurry of actions, all of which proved almost wholly overwhelming even for the kitsune and all her skill. It didn't particularily help either that she wasn't particularily feeling as best as she could due to his prior effort of rending out her soul and a renewed effort towards doing so. Truly, even with her perceptions as they were, the manner in which that arm rushed forth was...unsettling- as well as the seeming dissapearance of that sight. Even so, she did her best to put up some means of defense, Fey lifted up in her right hand so as to interpose the longsword between herself and her misforunate form, an event which results in a rather unpleasent return of her weapon- the implement of puncturing planted rather firmly into her shoulder and quite near dislodged from her grasp, only spared by her boundless perseverance (though the training she had constantly undertaken -could- also be partly to blame). The discord only seemed to grow worse however, for a sudden rending of flesh from foot was granted, scythe carving into unwary bits of meat , offset only due to her awkward stumblings- though they were to be ceased in a manner most immediate by the sudden plunging of both her weapons into that arm, hopes to be to cease its actions (and unwittingly cause the scythe to return to its master, but that was the price to pay). It wasn't a downside either, to have a newfound center of balance so as to gain a moment to fall into split second pensivities.

Jian smiled a bit as the sword penetrated his arm, shifting it in such a way when she drove it in that it would become lodged between two bones as his other arm came to be part of his being once again. "Creative to say the least." Jian sneered as he stepped back and gave his arm a powerful tug in the reverse direction to disarm Nanashi of at least one of her swords. Whether by her hand or his own hand that the sword would be pulled free-the moment it was no longer in him,Jian found himself reverting back into a human

Nanashi | Fey, faithful blade that it was, happened to be the particular edge which had found itself ever so helpfully nestled between those bones within the mans arm- and hence was the weapon she was found to be at a loss, her refusal to let go of it and his rather abrupt actions resulting in its dislodging ensuring its unforunate fate, trusted sword hence launched back to clatter quietly behind herself. Aggravated, rather weary, and altogether unpleased with this particular interlopers presence, she did but the one thing she could think of. Ten'yo was sliced outwards, an action used to both gain space and dislodge what droplets of crimson had gathered upon its edge, before it quite promptly finds its home within its sheathe anew, the kitsune retreated over to where Tenrai rested, both hands falling upon Tenrai's hilt, the slightly askew weapon quite simply held before her. One could only surmise she expected what was to follow the deciding moment of this clash.

Jian smiled fully now that his lips were as meaty as they had been during the beginning of the fight. Eyes, newly formed in his skull twinkled in manner that seemed inspired by what had just occured though the vile laugh that rumbled forth did not suggest the same emotion in the slightest. A mass of the scythe dropped off of the pole, leaving it more suited for close ranged combat and to Nanashi, he offered a nod that was honoring her in every possible form. "Where I not so preoccupied with my own plans...perhaps I would consider you more than an obstacle." Jian stepped forth a bit as nimble fingers spun the half scythe in his palm. "When Leopold came to me telling me that Lord Tavis would reward me for the blade...I could not help but wonder why this weapon was so important...so powerful. And so we must fight..." With that, Jian motioned Nanashi to attack .

Nanashi | Aggravation flowed within those depths from which she gazed, stare growing so cold as to be almost glacial, cutting over her opponent with a precision well and worthy of the blade she carried. Finally, her voice rang clear, bereft of emotion- perfection of neutrality and a clarity of thought, though an undertone did rest within: ire in its utmost and purist form- Righteous Indignation. "Your a pawn. It's why you are here. Its why you are damned. I suppose its why he sent you to test me. I had found it odd one of the scourge had found me so hastily." Her eyes narrowed now, slits cooly overlooking the entity which stood before her so tauntingly, before attention was placed upon Tenrai. Pale lips parted momentarily, if only to breath out a fiery kiss, the mass of flame swiftly engulfing the sanguine stained metal, swirling up and about as though dancing upon dry wood. It truly did shine brightly, moreso in the growing darkness as dusk finally gave way to nights abyssal state, granting the weapons wielder a rather surreal glow, one which made her expression rather eerie as she resumed speaking. "Before you perish. Perhaps you would enlighten me... what plans you had for me other than an obstacle." The last word was the only which betrayed her particular fierceness of spirit, and it was followed by a wicked slash soon after, her ki flaring out to sudden heights in tandem with the furious attack, the pinnacle of which was a distortion. Seeming harmless at first, its true nature was soon unveiled, a mixture of her innate energies and the air driven before her in a condensed mass, and ever so affectionately combusting due to the weapon from which it originated. And hence was that attack sent forth to rend the human in half, from his waist across- given what he had survived through asofar, it might not kill him- but it definitely would do him harm and being cut in half and the wound then cauterised would likely do no end of harm. It also didn't held that the fiery nature of the attack would serve to cauterise the blood of his weapon, and hopefully make it fragile. Finally, in the end, it didn't help that once that slash had been completed, her sword was quite simply held aloft, before being swiped down then up in a V shape, two more blades of cutting wind following behind the that initial strike, also bursting into wrathful flames, a swift devastation wrought in their wake. Hence requiring a moments breath, the vixen would simply fall into a crouched position, drained now and simply left to stare after her attack...not exactly aware that there was to be a rather loud noise to come, a sonic boom as it were.

Jian listened with a smug grin at Nanashi's every word, finding himself amused by her speech and the call him a pawn in this situation. He stepped forward a bit closer as eyes narrowed and became fiery with a passion that had remained unseen before now. His smile faded from existence into a unemotional line upon his face as he moved, a deep rumbling growl coming forth from his throat. Suddenly, his motion would stop, remaining still a good distance from Nanashi.Lips parted to speak but even before he took the time to say what reasoning it was that Jian had truly came before Nanashi, he reacted to her attack with a great swiftness. His scythe-still remaining only half its original size-was thrust down with an agility that could only be described as quite impressive to say the very least. It was positioned in such a way that the moment her sword struck the wood, which remained unhurt by both blade and blaze, he would be able to swipe his weapon up to hook her weapon before she could manage that second attack. As the arm launched upward with scythe and hooked sword in tote, Jian spun his body and swept a single leg out with the purest intent of slamming it into Nanashi's ankles. "Why did I come here!?" Jian roared as he went through the motions of his attack. "I have already told you... I want power. I am no one's pawn but only taking advantage of the knowledge Leopold has given unto me. I am Jian, exiled from the service of Death as one of his hands on the charges of betrayal and mutiny!"

Nanashi was thus forced into movement by the outcasts particular chain of actions, the sword's "guided" movements hence causing her to fall into an somewhat eccentric spin, one which she carried on with in an attempt to both free her sword and regain the offense. Twisting, turning, the blade following that upward arc, before dipping back and away from her antagonistic- all this sums up her particular vulnerability to his offense, suddenly finding herself plummeting backwards towards the ground, that foot he had struck at earlier all the much more sore due to his efforts. Still, it seems her words had struck home of sorts, and it was not like she was particularily worried about the crash with the ground, left hand loosing itself from that particular weapon of choice she wielded, if only to press off against the ground and send her spiraling several paces back to land rather gracefully (not counting the wince and slight shudder a certain wounded leg gives upon completion of the action). "A hand, a limb, a part of a whole- which was expendable. Like any Pawn. Guided here as a test, no real planning, sent here to perish like a sacrifical lamb." Those words crept forth, unhindered by any perturbance to her demeanour, resuming their harsh monotony, that dreadful neutrality. Still, she was not going to parlay any further, and thus did she flick the blade forth, deadly upward arcs of that errant sword to slice into her foe, though in particular, her intention was to entangle Tenrai and his scythe and keep that arnament aloft, quite akin to what he had done prior. The difference, a moment after the blades arc had passed, that ki which had clung to the katana due to Jian's halting her second attack was liberated, shadowing her attack just a moment after in a razor thin line of condensed air and wisps of flame, a belated revenge for what grievances he had wreaked.

Jian snickered quite happily at her words bounced off of his ego like so many tiny stones hitting a grand wall. As it dawned upon him that this Nanashi had no clue how small she was to his greater scheme and his greater purpose, he found himself with renewed vigor for the fight. Compared to driving a dagger though ones wrist on a daily basis, the flame searing his skin after it smoldered through his black robe was little more than an annoyance and thus it was most thoroughly ignored as his own body was twirled around. A hand grasped at what was nothingness for but a moment though soon a slithering mass of crimson goo writhed from his sleeve to harden in his grasp. As this occured, the other hand that gripped the half-scythe was slashed at the shoulder of his foe though as the spiral was complete, the newly formed wooden rod in his other clutch was thrusted forward to drill itself painfully into Nanashi's solar plex. Words flowed forth as all this occured, dark yet serene in tone. "It has come to my understanding that you are a fool so set in believing I came forth as a pawn. I would have found you eventually regardless of if some dark lord who thought he could control me had sent me forth."

Nanashi | The scythe's relocation vis a vis viscous seepings of sanguine fluids is noted duly, that action causing Tenrai to be put forth into motion anew, since the arnament was no longer held affixed like tree entangled about a rock, instead now sweeping down in a motion more reminscent of a falcon diving forth to retrieve a quick meal, the action bestowed with that same viperal swiftness that might grace a striking cobra, edge the fangs striking down upon some unsuspecting vermin and ending its motions with a sudden finality. Its thus no surprise, that Jian's strike is met with that same cessation of movement, her supernatural strength put to good use in an attempt to redirect that scythes blade outwards and towards the ground. Words came anew, unhindered by the conflict. "You deny it, and yet Leopold is my teacher, and fully aware of both my talents, and likely of your ambitions. Thus like a baited rat do you scurry forth to salvage something, and quite sharply is this encounter going to ceas-" Even the subtle weaving of her body to the side is not able to fully abate the force of the blow, twisting movements only able to prevent her from having her vitals taken advantage of, though the attack still manages to evoke an unpleasent sounding pop from her person. Still maintaining a stoic Mien however, the Kitsune makes little noise besides a ragged hiss, blade simply pressed forth upon to fling her particular foe back before she'd simply move to embed Tenrai within the ground, Tainted funeral marker to a cadaver as of yet unmade. That impromptu tomb stone made, she then simply began to focus her ki within the sword, waiting for what affront was to come of Jian next.

Jian allowed himself to be tossed back with little resistance though his stumbling was made in a way that placed him at an angle facing Nanashi's right shoulder. Hands were brought together as the two halves of his weapon were forced into a dark unity once more though as his hand was slid down the wooden shaft, it became that of metallic linkings in a long chain. And soon enough it was spinning and with each whistling of air being parted that it made, the deadly scythe head threatened and taunted its murderous intentions that it shared with its owner. "Leopold is the teacher? Some master he has turned out to be that he would send someone such as myself after you. You see, I possess what you'll never have-that being centuries of experience in the killing ways."And suddenly the chain was whipped forward in such a way that it would hook into the lower of Nanashi's back given her current position. Regardless of its final location though, Jian gave the chain a firm yank to return his scythe to him.

Nanashi | She was humoured, to say the least at his speech, though her position remained relatively the same, partially knelt before that interred blade of Destiny, waiting for that perfect moment to arrive- Cat's call to the rattle of chains and whistle of whirled blade sent hurtling towards her vicinity, perfection of a moments call to arms. Thus bound forth the foxkin fighter, frenzied and feral furious assault sent forth in a forward press of palms 'pon the terrain which touched the tainted sword, digits of her left hand enclosing upon the swords hilt as she was projected past that wicked weapon of darkened attributes. Wrenched forth with a wide spray of dusty debris sent skittering every possible direction, that kitsune talented in that dance of blades is made vulnerable for a sparse moment to the wayward return of that errant flying sickles keen. In its retreat, a large rush of crimson bursts into the air, spatters of many bloody droplets send spraying into the open air from an unguarded back, though Jian's assailant does not slow down. Blade ever hued in dusk's dying light, Tenrai is whirled with a laboured grace, errors only averted due to the particular affinity granted by the binding of Nanashi's spirit, a weight cast off and enabling her to violently flick the blade back, before cleaving it through the ground behind her, sending the katana full circle towards Jian's lower body. Whether defended or not, another push would then ensue, whereupon she'd fall to a crouch then straighten abruptly, seeking to knock Jian up into the air by the sheer kinetic force of that secondary slash- unable to follow up due to her wavering left leg which continues to pour forth vitae from its wound, forcing her down upon one knee. "Memories not my own, Maybe you heard of her. Malice Arlyeon- Angel of madness, no?"

Jian ,rather than letting the chained weapon return fully to him, would give it a sudden whip to send the blade spiralling back towards Nanashi when she charged at him. Its only purpose was to create a quick barrier that would be struck instead of him for the first blow and assumably be wrapped about her blade. The forth was enough to send him off of his feet though Jian would only use this gift of sudden momentum to add to his own tug upon the chain with full intent to disarm Nanashi and thus place him in possession of her mighty sword. "Malice? You've no clue to the extent for which I know such a being..." Jian laughed as he slammed to the ground, giving a pained roar shortly thereafter. "Twas I who wrought final judgement upon her when she was killed. My invisible claw reaped her when her undoing was sealed.".

Nanashi | Lips left their state of supposed neutrality, all hints of a wry smile forcing their way upon her expression for barest moments before she is brought to a state of alert at the current events. Resisting for a moment upon that steadfast tug of the blade, she soon cedes, with naught more than a mysterious smirk and a flick of her wrist to send the item arcing towards his chest, aided by momentum of his tug and that of the leap- whereupon he might receive his bounty of the soulbound blade when not in the hands of its wielder, the cumulation of weight when it was free of its wielders hands likely to be interesting, not to mention when it shall return to a seeming state of mundanity. ...The shocking treatment it provides is no pic either. "Perhaps you were also discharged for incompetance then, I'm the holder of her spirit, the sole seal restraining her return to this mortal plane of existance. Idiot."

Jian rolled the very moment he felt the chain rattle and loosen as it became a bit lighter without the weight of a sword wrapped around it. As thus, a painful blow was avoided though same was his chance to grasp the blow though the ease with which she was willing to send the weapon towards him set him at some unease in the area of touching the weapon in his mortal form. "Incompetence?" Jian sneered as he rose from his back fueled by sheer disgust at the concept that he was exiled for such a mundane reasoning. "Hardly, in fact, the event was celebrated...the soul now anchored to you was quite a difficult soul to reap always evading death so skillfully." With but a tug, the chained sickle was sent back to his grip like an obediant pup to such an extent that the links snaked around his arms and there they waited, writhing with each second that passed. He did not fling the cresent blade again though...instead keeping it close to him. "The reason I am in exile is for coming close to taking the mantle of Death for my own."

Nanashi | She was still now, save for the slightest bit of movement used to both adjust herself into a crouch, attention seeming rather rapt upon her leg, peering at flesh as it knit itself closed again, the cycle of a living rebirth, her gift from that which she played host to. "My talent's come from her, and my experience, thus- I am not the novice you presumed. That was a fraction of the point made- the other was that my continued existance is the only thing that guards her from rebirthing it seems. Her notes within the book were fairly indepth upon this point." A mock charming smile was granted, before her head dipped, hiding her gaze beneath the tufts of black hair that were her bangs. Waiting was renewed it seem, fingers of her right hand coming to rest gingerly upon Fey's hilt- she was poised, waiting to strike, near silent save for the gentle breach of quiet that was her breath.

Jian gave what could only be considered as a bow of the most polite in jesture as the chain squirmed and even seemed to make lunges from its bind around his wrist with bloody desires, reflecting Jian's own desire to kill for his weapon was bound to him in the purest of ways. "As things stand...I must honestly I have grown bored for this tug of war." The exiled reaper stepped back a good few feet as he smiled at Nanashi. "My efforts seem futile at the moment seeing as killing one will only revive another. Quite the unfair advantage and so I shall leave you to your blade for now. Give Leopold my regards." Jian sneered as he leapt upwards into a tree, no cowardice in his voice what so ever but instead only the purest of truth. Swiftness as previously seen that he was capable of was then given as he disappeared towards denser foliage .

Nanashi waited for a few moments, before that longsword she had 'inherited' from her brother was sheathed and she returned to a standing position. "Hypocrisy. It would be as unfair as turning into death incarnate, one might say." That particular bit of wisdom cast to the wind, she strode over towards Ten'yo next, retrieving it with no particular bit of haste and replacing it just above Fey. Lastly, was Tenrai retrieved and then replaced upon her back. "...He lived though, so I must have fallen out of practice." And thus did she proceed outwards, for she had things to do, places to be- a shadow guild to attack.
